One correct answer per round
Read the prompt in a three-second preview, then type an answer within 25 seconds. A recognized answer ends the round. An unrecognized answer lets you try again while time remains. Skip or a timeout scores zero.
Seven rounds. Up to 7,000 meters.
Answers earn 10, 30, 60, 85 or 100 points. Each point adds ten meters of depth. Scores are editorial familiarity estimates, not measured player frequencies. The game does not claim an answer has a particular real-world rarity.
Daily and practice
Each daily edition has seven fixed questions. Your browser time zone determines its date: before 02:00 you play the previous date; from 02:00 you play the new date. The server checks the release time. Editions inspired by recent news are prepared ahead of time; when unavailable, a curated fallback edition keeps the game playable. Your first attempt is saved to this browser identity and cannot be restarted. Unlimited keeps going beyond seven rounds without a depth cap; finish after any round to save your result. Its question bank reshuffles after all prompts have appeared. Topic dives have seven rounds. Both are practice and do not extend your daily streak. Leaving a running round does not pause its server clock.
Spelling and boundaries
Case, spaces, punctuation and accents are ignored. Listed aliases count; arbitrary misspellings do not. Read the exact scope: a country is not always a territory. Review accepted answers after every round and report a missing entry for editorial review.
